LISTEN AGAIN - TRINITY, TAMWORTH

Adam Presdee

Adam Presdee
Adam began DJ’ing in Birmingham in the early 80’s being a resident at the UK’s famous Powerhouse and opening The Dome in Birmingham. He met Phil Dockerty at this time and their love of dance music and interest in technology led quickly to them developing some studio knowledge. They first began putting together mix tapes for other DJ’s and friends, this leading to them being asked to put mixes together for the local radio dance shows.
In 1988 The Commission began producing regular mixes for the DMC subscription albums and many of these were featured on Jeff Young’s Radio One show. When Pete Tong took over the programme he asked them to begin producing more regular mix sets for the new Essential Selection every Sunday evening, after the Chart Show on Radio One. Their work for Pete Tong's Essential Selection was the forerunner to the now weekly Essential mix programme on Radio One
At the time they were now producing a two hour syndication Hot Mix program for BRMB, Leicester Sound, Mercia Sound, Trent FM and Buzz FM.
During 1992 they were approached by a number of UK record companies to put together similar mixes for commercial release and by now they were beginning to produce and remix their own tracks.

In 1994 Phil and Adam set up Urban Hero Records and have had over 40 releases in the UK with Top 40 success with Poppers Presents Aura. Also releasing tracks to over 100 Record Labels and publishers, in over 36 countries around the world.
The Commission signed a deal with Cleveland City Records releasing two singles “One Man” and “Keep Your Head Up”, whilst continuing their remix and productions work for Virgin, Positiva, EMI, Sony, MCA, London, Island, and Telstar, including productions for Artists including Barbara Tucker, De La Soul, Judy Cheeks and Grace.
Adam enjoyed working on Productions and Mixes for UB40 and Ali Cambell, as well as managing all of Ishq Records Artists including Multi million seller Bally Sagoo.
Adam is now a little more relaxed and you will still find him DJ’ing around the Midlands……………..
